"NEW" Post Vegetarian Restaurant Choices

I thought it would be nice if I could write and post about my (Angela's) vegetarian finds and the choices there are in the Chattanooga area and throughout my travels. Firstly let me state that I am a non-religious vegetarian not a vegan, but where possible and when I remember I will post whether or not a place has vegan choices or is vegan friendly. Lastly, My vegetarianism comes from a desire (and an oath) of mine to do no harm. Since I made that oath I have killed countless fish, a snake, and a poor little duck....I am sorry for that...but sometimes it is difficult not to make waves in the pond...so to speak...I feel it is the effort made that truly counts...

the Curry Pot - 6940 Lee Highway Chattanooga 37421

Indian cuisine is not something that I know a lot about but if you go by flavor/taste does that really matter? the Curry Pot is a quiet little place tucked into an old mini mall next door to an Indian Bazar (grocery store) and a sidewalk church...It is clean and has a very good variety of seating... with a TV and some lite (often religious) music in the background... The smell smacks you in the face as soon as you walk in...a mixture of curry and tamarind...and all those spices...along with fresh baked Naan.... The treasure is in the buffet... so many choices....from chutneys to lentil dishes.... as well as curries and roasted meats... the Curry Pot always has many vegan dishes to choose from along with a few desserts , sometimes salads...and did I mention the Naan.... Naan is a traditional fire roasted bread....flat like a thick tortilla and so delicious.... the desserts range from some yogurt dishes to rice pudding and syrup balls.....

I give the Curry Pot - 4 stars ****

Don't forget to tip and hit the fennel seed mouth cleanser on the way out...
and if you are like me always be careful some Indo/Asian food is prepared with Peanuts always call first and check...
